Reflux Treatment
There is a valve mechanism at the lower end of the esophagus that prevents stomach contents from passing into the esophagus. The most common feature in reflux patients is the looseness of this mechanism. This condition often occurs together with a hiatal hernia. Gastric emptying disorder or impaired esophageal movement are other reasons that trigger this disease.
